Million way One Dollar Hat

This weekend has been so much fun! Of course it is holloween weekend and I have had an unusually busy weekend. But wth a quick trip to Walmart I came home with a really cute idea to make my own hat. I wanted a really cute hat I saw in claires a few months but it was sixteen dolars ( way to much in my opinion) so I decided that it was best if I waited for a sale. Well it took to long! So here is my solution:

Here is all you need plus fast drying fabric glue.

Simply measure the ribbon around your hat and sew it then attach flowers if you want. And there you have it a very easy hat to make.

 So what do you think?
So since I have diabetes I am always looking for ideas to add convenience and style to my daily life, and today at walmart I saw this adorable camera bag and had to have it for my glucose monitor.

ISN'T IT CUTE!!!!!

And my brand new contour U.S.B meter. It also came with these amazing multicolored lancets. How amazing is that, so I'm totally in love.

My Pin Board #1
This is where I will show you my ideas for a style I think would be very stylish. So tell me what you think.

Love mixing neutrals with bright colors. This dress is so cute and summery maybe because we are just now getting cooler weather in Georgia. I would wear this with flip-flops on the beach.

Isn't this room so gorgeous. I love  how the designer made the wallpaper the most eye catching by keeping all of the accessories simple and plain. So last weekend I got to go to a family reunion and my second cousin Lilly. She is very cute and sweet. These I took while sitting a playing with her while everyone else did the zip line.

And here are other pictures from the reunion.

Poppy Flower

So today school started back after our fall break and over the break I got a lot done. I had so much fun making all the little thinks I did and can't wait to share them with you.

I made these sweet poppy flowers your could make them all colors and use them for everything. I am addicted to them.

Supplies you will need:
A candle
Synthetic silk (I used Blanket binding)
Glue
Gems
Three to four different circular objects
Scissors

 Instructions:
First using your circular object trace them onto your fabric and cut them out.
Now SLOWLY melt the edges of your fabric. Once you did the top edge go back and do the sides to so the stick up. If it catches on fire blow it out and keep going this gives your flower an organic look. When you have all the circles done use liquid stich or something similar to glue the circles together. Then add jewels, pearls, feathers and other fabrics for details. And there ya go all done put these on hair pins or jewelry. Let me know what you would do with these I want to know Happy flower making!
This is not a craft for children!

Easy Tshirt Pillows

T shirt pillows

Supplies
  • T –SHIRTS
  • Trims and ribbons
  • Sewing machine
  • Matching thread
  • Straight pins
  • Stuffing

Instructions: Find a flat something a little bigger than your pillow size you want. I used a placemat but whatever you can find will work.

Cut out your pillow make sure that (unlike me) you have plenty of room from the top of your motif. It looks better if the motif is in the middle.

If you want trim pin it very straight inside the hem. Pin the shirt inside out, Be careful mistakes are easier to notice on cotton t shirts.

Sew three side of the pillow. To make you pillow not have ridges where you have to fold the edges in after stuffing it sew the last edge with trim and fold the edge inside. This will keep those awful ridges disappear.

And there you have it. Easy and simple and you won’t want to hide it from guests. Experiment with different shapes and sizes.
Have fun let me know how it turns out.
Peace, Love, Sew!-Sarah Michael
